Job summary

Are you a dynamic and proactive individual with a passion for procurement? Tetbury Hospital Trust is seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in securing the best value for money from our commercial relationships with suppliers and service providers. You will provide expert guidance and support to departments, negotiate, place, and manage contractual arrangements for a wide range of clinical and non-clinical equipment and support services.

Main duties of the job

  • Develop productive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate, place, and manage Purchase Orders and other contractual arrangements.
  • Ensure procurement decisions are evidence-based, auditable, and compliant with policies and legislation.
  • Use procurement as a driver for efficiencies, savings, and sustainability.
  • Support the Finance Lead, Senior Leadership Team, and CEO with procurement advice and information.

  • Have or be working towards a relevant professional qualification. e.g. Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)

  • An understanding of professional procurement principles and best practice.
  • Ability to interpret and apply the Trusts policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and present management briefs.
  • Experience of working in a procurement environment.
