Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our Day
Surgery Unit at
Tetbury
Hospital Trust on a permanent, part-time basis for 20 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate
will:
Be a Theatre
Practitioner with current registration with the NMC.
Have
demonstrable leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
Have
experience of overseeing quality, governance and safety of regulated services.
Be
able to influence and drive change and improvement.
Have knowledge of quality
governance arrangements and care quality commission standards and assessment.

Job responsibilities
As a member of the day surgery team to perform all the tasks of a registered ODP/theatre nurse including scrub, theatre runner and recovery/anaesthetics, following all checks and procedures as laid down in National and Trust Policy. The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision whilst maintaining a safe working environment. All staff will be expected, at times, to work in the outpatient Department.

- Knowledge of current practice, research and development within theatre areas.
