Job summary
We are inviting expressions of interest from nurses who would like to explore a role in General Practice. This initial opportunity is for one day a week and offers the chance to work alongside an experienced General Practice Nurse while developing your skills in a supportive environment.
Were looking for nurses who have:
- Transferable skills from your current role relevant to General Practice.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- A wide and holistic view of health and wellbeing outcomes and a willingness to contribute to new initiatives.
- Some knowledge of population health and cross-sector working (desirable).

Main duties of the job
The Post holder will assist in the delivery of care to Practice patients,providing treatments, preventative care, screening and patient education and monitoring for specified long term conditions through high quality evidence based care to meet the health and social needs of the Practice population. Working within the boundaries set out by the regulated profession, and working collaboratively with the General Practice Team, meet the needs of patients by providing quality evidence based care.
