Cumbria Health are looking for a Medical Secretary to join their team at Upper Eden Medical Practice.
We are looking for an organised and efficient administrator to provide essential support within our team. The role involves managing referrals to secondary care, liaising with the ICC hub, handling patient queries, and maintaining clear communication with hospitals. Additionally, you will be responsible for sensitive tasks such as death administration, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and with compassion. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential information effectively.
This is a temporary position covering maternity leave - there are 27 hours per week available.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties can include, but are not limited to, the processing of information, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies, in accordance with current policies. Processing patient referrals using the electronic referral service (ERS).

- Monitoring and updating fast track referrals spreadsheet
