HOPE HAVEN at Whitehaven
We are looking for an ANP
/ ACP to cover 4 clinics per week (6 hrs each, will include some OOH evening
and/or weekend work)
Hope Haven is a radical
new collaboration providing a safe and welcoming space for anyone who needs
support with their mental health and wellbeing. It is open for everyone
aged 18+ in the Copeland and Whitehaven area. It brings a range of services
under one roof to transform the way mental health care is provided locally.
Hope Haven will bring together specialist health, social care and community
services to support Mental Health and Wellbeing in the community.
The service is currently
operating on a mobile basis working from Senhouse Community Centre or alongside
other partners in the community.
Seeking compassionate individuals with knowledge of mental health, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work across organisations as part of a new multi-disciplinary team (MDT) initiative.
These posts will be
offered on a fixed term contract until March 2026 with hope of further
extension past this date.
Additional hours may be available through other inequality projects like Asylum Clinics and Senhouse Health Matters, with some clinics held at alternative sites across the Copeland area.

Main duties of the job
CNTW, Every Turn, Home Group and ICanWeCan along with other third sector providers to support individuals across Whitehaven and Copeland.
Cumbria Health will be providing the clinical workforce into this service offering the physical wrap around care to people attending other services here. This will include GP, ACP & HCA clinics for complex physical issues often associated with mental health presentations, prescribing needs following consultation with a mental health practitioner, medication reviews and bloods. We will also offer some group educational sessions on a variety of topics including Healthy Hearts, Menopause, NHS digital access for example.
This is a new and exciting, evolving service, and want the successful candidates to be fully engaged in this service development.

The post holder will work as a member of the clinical team. The post holder will be responsible for recognising, negotiating and implementing processes to enhance the delivery of care.
Patient centred care will be delivered by assessing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems; initiating treatment, investigations, advice and management of problems using professional autonomous decision making processes, liaising when appropriate with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure safe and effective patient care.
