This BI Lead will play a key role in providing data in support of organisational decision-making , as well as well performance information for Clinical Services, the Senior Management and Executive team, here at CHoC.This includes but is not limited to creating reports, dashboards, and analyses to help business stakeholders make data-driven decisions.

About the role...

As BI Lead for the organisation you will:

Lead and develop the information analytical function and support the strategic development of information in order to maximise the benefits to the organisation, of timely, accurate and meaningful information.

Lead, influence, and negotiate to drive forward the development of business intelligence processes, functions and tools.

Develop technical solutions for reporting requirements, including automation of reports and processes, and the use of data visualization tools such as Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services.

The individual will also be responsible for the overall management of various systems such as Adastra and EMIS Web.

Provide leadership and input into the teams range of activities including, mentoring, training and change capability enhancements facilitating the development of multi-disciplinary and appropriately skilled digital support team.

Provide expert knowledge and support to the Digital programme.

Deputise for the Head of Digital and Performance as and when required.

Job responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities, which follows, represents the broad range of tasks which may be required to be undertaken either routinely or periodically. This list is not exhaustive and the role may include additional duties which are not listed here:-

Lead on the continuous development of the organisation data warehouse, including all phases of planning, designing, development and roll out to the organisation. The data warehouse is the central data repository, and takes data feeds from various systems such as Adastra, EMIS Web, IQUS Rota Master, Health Call in Healthcare platform, MediBioSense Health-stream, TomTom Telematics, Opex, Patient Experience survey results and other locally developed solutions such as Impact, Communication Log and Clinical Audit system.

Responsible for managing the Data Warehouse, and where required, supporting other SQL based systems. Responsibilities include ensuring that the 3 data model, data loading, and information reporting is reliable, and that internal and external deadlines are consistently met.

Utilise specialist knowledge in designing the data warehouse architecture to ensure it meet the requirements of standard Business Intelligence (BI) tools, namely MS Power BI, and MS SQL Reporting Services.

Responsible for the translation of highly complex, and sensitive data from various systems in the Trust, and provide assurances to relevant staff, to assure the integrity of data, and mutual understanding when designing, and developing the data warehouse.

Responsible for the management and development of agreed reporting requirements within the data warehouse, together with planning and scheduling of associated work plans.

Lead in the development of comprehensive reporting solutions for data held on the organisations key systems

Lead in the development of business intelligence tools and, lead, train and assist the wider Digital team to develop technical solutions for reporting requirements

Lead in gathering and refining the organisation requirements to plan, develop, and implement Business Intelligence tools.

Develop relationships and influence to ensure ownership of change is achieved and that supportive and sustainable performance management frameworks are in place.

To keep up to date with emerging good practices, technologies and business models whilst sharing and developing this knowledge with the Digital team
