We are offering a short-term but high-impact opportunity to work in a senior clinical
governance role within a forward-thinking, high-performing team. You will join us
as a Clinical Governance Lead, working closely with our experienced Specialist
Clinical Leads, Matron, and Quality Lead and reporting directly to the
Director of Patient Services.
In
our staff survey in June 2025 100% of those who responded said they would trust
the care that we provide to their friends and family and 97% agree that care of
patients/service users is the hospices top priority.
Hours: 15 hours per week, Flexible working.
Duration:
6 months -
September 2025 to end of March 2026 (possible extension).
What is the role?
This is an exciting
opportunity for someone looking for a secondment or development role to enhance
their leadership portfolio. You will play a central part in delivering our
existing governance action plan and driving forward our ambition to maintain
Outstanding CQC standards (last achieved in 2021). You will also help ensure the
highest standards of care and continuous improvement remain at the heart of our
services.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a confident
and improvement-minded leader someone who is passionate about getting things
right for patients and families, striving for excellence, understanding patient
safety and quality improvement and collaborative working. Ideally, you will bring
some experience in clinical governance or quality
roles, but we will provide support and guidance throughout to help you thrive in
this role.

Prospect Hospice is an independent hospice supporting a community of
300,000 people in Swindon, Marlborough and North Wiltshire, and the villages of
Lechlade and Fairford in Gloucestershire.
It is the only dedicated provider of
specialist end of life care services within it's locality. The Hospices
multi-professionals teams support people in the community, in care homes, at
the Great Western Hospital and at the Hospice in Wroughton. Care is also
extended to the families and friends of patients.

Chair regular governance meetings with clinical and multi-professional teams to drive service improvement, communication, and learning.
Ensure quality of care is continuously improved through critical reflection, learning, and collaboration with the Matron, Clinical Leads, and Quality Lead.
