Job summary
The Impact and Evaluation Officer role is a crucial role in making sure that The Rainbow Foundation is able to articulate and evaluate its impact in a robust manner, demonstrating the social value of our work. This role is central to creating an evidence-based culture and embedding evaluation into service development and delivery across our organisation. You will help shape the future of the charity by working with colleagues across Rainbow, ensuring that impact and evaluation insights are used to drive service improvement and innovation.

Main duties of the job
Role Responsibilities:
- Take forward recommendations set out in our benchmarking evaluation report
- Lead on how Rainbow ensures we are collecting appropriate data for a full and proper evaluation of our activities
- Adopt and adhere to the principles of Social Value
- Develop a strategic and operational level Theory of Change and related Social Value model for our work
- Support the Shared Prosperity Fund and Active Futures programmes to gain relevant information to evidence the impact of their interventions. This will include some background research to ensure the data being collected is in line with best practice approaches in evaluating our services and their impact, and an understanding of how to gain and successfully utilise primary and secondary health data, and apply evaluation methodologies
- Provide regular progress reports to our senior management team on activity
- Support the production of the Rainbow Foundations Annual Impact Report
- Report on impact to date and make clear recommendations for collection of data going forward which embed quality improvement processes
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation, with particular focus on the use and storage of participant details
- Compliance with good clinical practice and research governance frameworks.
- Build links and collaborate with our health board and wider partners to access data supporting evidence of our impact
