Are you a reliable and skilled driver looking for a rewarding career in

We are seeking to recruit a dedicate, knowledgeable driver to specifically
work the overnight shifts. The Driver will
join our existing dynamic overnight team supporting the Out of hours service
across the Stockport and Trafford region.
As an overnight driver you will play a crucial part in ensuring better
healthcare for your local area. This permanent part time opportunity will be
working alternate weeks on fixed shifts Midnight to 08.00. The hours we have
available are highlighted below:

Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient service for doctor and clinician driving them to
patients homes. The role covers a range
of duties ensuring the vehicle is maintained and fully equipped, and you will
support the Doctor with any IT and administrative tasks. You will need a good geographical knowledge
of the Stockport and Trafford area. A
clean driving licence
is essential with excellent customer service skills to enable you to work in
partnership with the Doctors and colleagues to provide the best standard of
care to our patients

This non-exclusive

required to be undertaken routinely or periodically.
To provide an efficient service for doctor
transportation to patients homes. Ensure
the vehicle is maintain and equipment is checked in line with Mastercall
policies and procedures.
Escort duty doctors on home visits.
Collection of drug bags and medical equipment
ensuring that the logbook is signed appropriately by the clinician on
duty. Check that all equipment is
accounted for and returned at the end of your shift.
Have a good knowledge of the
Stockport/Trafford area to assist the doctor plan the most efficient route for
home visits.
Ensure the vehicle safety check/inspection is
carried out in accordance with written procedure and record your findings on
the daily log sheet. Ensure adequate fuel and re-fuel as necessary.
To ensure prescriptions are stocked in the
equipment bag prior to leaving the building. To date and document prescription
number on daily log sheet
Carry out checks of all the communication
equipment and record any faults in the transport diary as well as informing the
Shift Leads.
Accept and complete calls transmitted to the
Adastra Communication system. Ensuring
follow-up codes have been selected.
Where this is not possible ensure good communication with base operator
to complete unfinished calls.
Liaise with base dispatchers on arrival and
completion of home visits.
Maintain a sound knowledge and understanding
of Mastercalls operational policies and procedures.
In the event of vehicle breakdown/accident
report incidence to the Shift Lead on duty and make arrangements for relief
vehicle and recover/breakdown services.
All updates to policies & procedures will
be communicated by e-mail.
On commencement of your shift check the
outside of the vehicle for any significant scratches, dents or damage and
document in the Transport Diary. Also, check tyres and fuel levels.
To ensure your vehicle is parked in the
designated parking space in the car park. If this is not possible, the
overnight driver to park vehicles in designated parking area.
The gritting of car park and ramp during
adverse weather conditions
Check the vehicle interior at the end of shift
ensuring it is clean and tidy for the commencement of the next shift.
