Main duties of the job
Specialist Nurse Youth Justice Service - 22.5 hour per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic SCPHN to join our expanding and developing Health Team in the Youth Justice Service in Kirklees.
The successful candidate will be an integrated member of the wider multi-disciplinary Youth Justice Service working across Kirklees.
The post holder will complete holistic health assessments, focusing on physical health, emotional health and neurodiversity, offer specific intervention packages around physical health needs i.e. sleeping, lifestyles, sexual health, life skills; therapeutic interventions for low mood, anxiety, problems with emotional regulation and managing stress. The postholder will signpost, refer and support young people to access to other health services improving their health literacy and will work across the whole of Kirklees, seeing people in the community and school as well as at home and at YJS buildings.
Working with key partners there will be a requirement to develop and deliver co-operative working arrangements that support healthy outcomes for children, young people and their families.
We will support the successful candidate with a full induction programme including opportunities for development in the areas of mental health and learning disabilities.
