An exciting 12 month part-time opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in the Locala Cardiac Rehabilitation Team. The individual will be part of a team delivering Cardiac Rehabilitation classes and programmes to patients following a Cardiac event.
Main duties of the job
The individual will be part of a team delivering Cardiac Rehabilitation classes and programmes to patients following a Cardiac event. They will be responsible for delivering the warm-up and cool down elements of the Cardiac Rehab classes as well as working alongside a multi-disciplinary team delivering supervised exercise sessions and individual programmes.
We are looking for an individual who is BACPR Specialist Exercise Instructor trained with experience of exercising people with health conditions and who is confident working in a group setting as well as 1:1 with patients. The successful candidate will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, health care assistants, physiotherapists and exercise physiologists, delivering cardiac rehabilitation within a variety of community settings.
They will be working closely with clinicians to undertake assessments, implement treatment plans and support self -management and lifestyle changes for patients post cardiac event. They will also support people to remain in or return to work post cardiac event. They will be responsible for delivering the Warm-up and cool down elements of the cardiac rehab class as well as be part of the team delivering the exercise element of the sessions.
