Main duties of the job
Job title - Occupational Therapist
Band 6 (£35,392.00 - £42,618)
Contract - Fixed Term 12 months
Hours - Full time, 37.5
You will manage your own specialist caseload for patients who present with Post-COVID Syndrome/Long COVID.
You will be involved with triaging and providing face to face and virtual Post COVID Video Group clinics within the Post COVID service. Work autonomously at times but also as part of a team of specialist Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, nurse and rehab assistants and present cases to a wider MDT which include vocational therapist, IAPT and Wellness service professionals.
Within your role you will be responsible for a complex patient case load supporting patients in their own home / long term place of residence and in a clinic and group setting. You will be expected to provide support, including but not limited to fatigue and breathlessness management.
You will also be responsible for providing supervision and training to members of the team and act as a resource as part of our working in partnership collaborative approach.
The post holder will be expected to stay up-to date with new emerging evidence and evidence-based practice for Post-COVID Syndrome/Long Covid and there will be opportunity to be a part of the Mid Yorks consultant led specialist MDT which supports Locala post covid MDT.
