Apprentice Procurement Assistant/Buyer
Location:Batley, West Yorkshire
Salary: Band 3 (£22,816 - £24,336)

Main duties of the job
Fantastic opportunity for an apprenticeship in procurement and supply, reporting into the Head of Procurement and Contracts, an 18-month fixed term contract with 20% of the time dedicated to training and obtaining CIPS level 3 in procurement and supply. The role will develop and support the organisation through sourcing products and services. You will have the opportunity to learn how to drive efficiencies in purchasing and procurement processes to help achieve value for money to the organisation. In addition, there will be involvement in defined projects and procurement activities; these will include, but are not limited to: Ensuring that purchasing systems and users are kept up to date and queries answered in a timely fashion. Developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers. Maintaining the Supplier Contracts Register, ensuring complete accuracy. Understanding Locala's spend and supplier data. Processing non-catalogue purchase orders for the organisation. The role does not guarantee a full-time position at the end of the fixed term however, the CIPS level 3 qualification will place the candidate in a strong position for any opportunities in the future.
