Job summary
Our Childrens Nurses contribute to provision of effective and efficient Childrens Services at Rennie Grove Peace to meet the needs of the childrens, and their families. This role involves visiting individuals in their own homes and you are required to travel anywhere within the Rennie Grove geographical area so a car and driving licence will be essential.
We are seeking an experienced First Level registered Children's Nurse with excellent communication skills for this exciting opportunity to support our team in delivering this service. Working flexibly within the day and night on-call service, youll demonstrate clinical excellence and maintain consistently high standards of individualised care and bereavement support.
Main duties of the job
Participate in delivering a service of specialist palliative care for children with a life threatening or life limiting condition and their families within their own home.
Carry out the nursing process in order to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the palliative care needs of the child.
Identifying where additional support is required to provide a holistic approach. Deliver specialist palliative care guidance and advice including on call as required.
Participate in service development and improvement. Establish effective working relationships with community paediatric teams and other relevant specialist services.
Act as a resource for professionals and non-professionals involved in palliative care within the community. Promote the philosophy of Rennie Grove within the local community.
