Job summary
Alma Medical Centre, is a friendly supportive GP Practice is Stockton. We are looking to recruit a receptionist to join our busy reception team. The successful candidate will be a point or contact in assisting patients to receive appropriate professional healthcare, be welcoming and deliver a high quality, professional and patient focused care.
A medical receptionist is the primary representative of our GP Practice. A medical receptionist will need to be capable of handling stressful situations at any given time in order to help the patient in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
We require someone who can join our team and bring with them the above skills that will enhance the care we provide to our patients. Our patients are our forefront, and we aim to provide them with a positive experience when they access health care provided by the surgery.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the general reception duties within the Practice and work within our established processes, policies, and procedures to provide a comprehensive high-quality service and deal efficiently with patient enquiries.
Your regular duties in this role will be dealing with telephone, face to face and electronic enquiries, booking and/or amending patient appointments and home visits, contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team and assisting patients to access our services and those available in the wider community.

We are a friendly supportive GP Practice in Stockton on Tees with over 11,000 patients. We are a training practice with a multidisciplinary team including, 5 partners, salaried GPs, ANP's, Practice Nurses and HCA's. We have social prescribers, health and wellbeing coaches pharmacy administrators, administrators and receptionists.
We are located in a purpose-built facility, with staff parking. We are within walking distance to Stockton shopping centre.
