Job summary

Reporting to the COO this role is key to developing, executing and monitoring a commercially successful Caring Services offering. Working closely with regional leaders this role will identify, create and drive commercially viable opportunities to develop Caring Services.

Main duties of the job

The Commercial Development Director role is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a UK-wide commercial strategy including pricing, contract models, identifying partnership opportunities and negotiations
  • Creating and deploying performance measurements and targets that drive and inform continuous improvement and innovation
  • Collaborating with Place leaders and Finance Business Partners to develop the budget and monitor financial performance of the commercial strategy
  • Working closely with the UK service re-design program, Closing the Gap, creating a route-to-market strategy and supporting Place leaders with deployment

Were looking for a proven leader with a deep understanding of healthcare economics, regulatory landscapes and industry dynamics, with a strong ability to identify, structure and set-up high-value partnerships.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience developing, validating and implementing a commercial strategy to drive financial performance and impact
  • Experience creating and monitoring commercial performance measurements and communicating these to a variety of stakeholders
  • Able to collaborate with stakeholders to support and influence their commercial understanding and increase performance literacy within the organisation
  • Experience developing route-to-market strategies for new services or products
  • A project management approach to driving commercial change through an organisation
