Marie Curie is excited to be expanding our existing Hospice Care at Home Service in Cwm Taf Morgannwg to help ensure nobody goes without the vital care and support they need at end of life. We are looking for a number of additional Healthcare Assistants to join our amazing team to help support more patients with life limiting conditions, and their families, than ever before. We will be working closely with District Nursing and Primary Care Teams to provide symptom control, end of life care and respite; as well as developing a new urgent response capacity to support the discharge of palliative and end of life care patients from hospitals into the community. Main duties of the job
Youll contribute to care planning, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe and dignified environment. This is a compassionate and hands-on role where youll make a meaningful difference in peoples lives during their final stages, while also supporting their loved ones through grief and bereavement.

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £24,833 per annum + enhancements -(increasing to £26,300 from April 1st2026).
Contract: Permanent,Full-Time; 37.5 hours per week
Based: Cwm Taf Morgannwg

- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent Level 2 qualification (e.g. NCFE, BTEC), plus functional skills in numeracy and literacy at Level 2
- At least 6 months of recent care delivery experience in a health or social care setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to hold person-centred, empathetic conversations and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of palliative and end of life care, including holistic care planning and symptom management
- Ability to plan and prioritise care, respond to changes in patient condition, and escalate appropriately
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
