Job summary

We are looking for a Counsellor in partnership with MNDA to provide pre and post bereavement to support to people in Wales including those from the MND community.

Main duties of the job

The Counsellor is part of the Allied Health Professionals Team, providing specialist counselling and bereavement support to patients, carers, and families as a key member of the multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering flexible, high-quality emotional support, collaborating closely with colleagues and external agencies, and ensuring best practice in line with Marie Curies Emotional Support Policy. The Counsellor also contributes to team meetings, care planning, and service improvement, helping to create a supportive environment for those facing loss and end-of-life care.

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC) £31,516 - £38,364 pro rata per annum + enhancements

Contract: Fixed-Term Contract, 1-year. Part-time hours, 18.75 hours per week.

Based: All Wales. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in Wales.

  • A UK Drivers license and access to a vehicle.
