Job summary
Were looking for an Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Wales community, with the base location at the Cardiff Hospice.
Main duties of the job
As an Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist, you'll lead the delivery of high quality, person centred palliative care, managing a complex caseload while acting as an autonomous expert practitioner and Non Medical Prescriber. A core element of this role is the direct line management of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team, providing compassionate leadership, professional development, and support to ensure safe, effective, and innovative care. You'll play a key part in shaping service delivery across multidisciplinary teams, driving quality improvement and enhancing end of life care for patients and those important to them.

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 7 (aligned with AFC) £48,527 - £55,532 per annum + enhancements
Contract: Permanent, Full-time. 37.5 hours per week and Part-Time, 18.75 hours per week.
Based: Wales Community, with the base at the Cardiff Hospice

- Proven ability to lead and develop nursing teams, including linemanagement responsibilities such as supervision, performance oversight, and supporting wellbeing.
- Skilled in complex symptom management, holistic assessment, and evidencebased decisionmaking.
- Confident communicator with advanced communication skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Experience of contributing to service development, quality improvement, and implementing best practice.
- A compassionate leader who role models personcentred care, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
- A full UK Drivers license and access to a vehicle.
