An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Volunteer Service Manager to join the team at Marie Curie in South West England.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader looking for an opportunity to make a real impact. As the Volunteer Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and growing our volunteer-delivered services. You will be at the forefront of driving positive change to the individuals and communities we support.

Salary:MCJES Grade F £43,250 £48,048 per annum

Hours/Contract:Permanent Full Time Contract - 35 hours per week

Based:Home based with regular travel across the South West

  • As the Volunteer Services Manager, you'll be accountable for the effective operational delivery of a diverse range of volunteer programs, managing associated resources and delivery activities. With a focus on performance management and contribution to business planning, service review, and improvement, you will be at the forefront of leading service development and improvement.

  • Leadership and Innovation: Lead and inspire a dedicated group of volunteers services, fostering a culture of responsiveness, innovation, and excellence. Set and uphold key performance standards to deliver services of the highest quality.
  • Quality Improvement: Drive the delivery of identified quality and service improvement projects.
  • Performance Targets: Take the lead in meeting all performance and quality targets, seamlessly incorporating new service delivery models into the management portfolios.
  • Problem-Solving: Tackle challenges head-on, utilising your problem-solving skills to develop and implement lasting solutions collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Team Collaboration: Be a key member of the leadership team.
