Main duties of the job
Covering both in-patient and outpatient departments, the Therapy Assistant will help support patients with a variety of life limiting conditions and symptoms in order for them to gain as much independence as possible and / or reach achievable goals.
Following assessment by a Senior OT or Physiotherapist the emphasis is to provide on-going intervention based on the written care plan and patient-centred needs. The core function of the role will be to enable patients to maintain or improve their independence and quality of life.
