Title:Clinical Nurse Manager
Salary:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, alignedwithAFC BAND 7- £43,742- £50,056 per annum
Hours/Contract:Permanent, Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Based:
Home/Regional Office base (we expect the successful candidate to live within
the catchment area Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South
Gloucestershire. Regular travel within this catchment area is required)

About the Role
We have a unique new opportunity for aClinical Nurse Managerto provide clinical leadership and professional line management, acting as a supportive and flexible manager to ensure the delivery of the Marie Curiestrategy and service within the areas of Somerset,Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG).
As part of our senior team, and working alongside the Head of Operations and Quality for the South West, you will have the opportunity to lead on patient safety, patient experience and quality ensuring continuous delivery of outstanding patient-centred care. You will represent our services at the ICBs, and work with our business development team to drive growth and develop our services.
You will manage our diverse clinical and volunteer-delivered services across Somerset and BNSSG. You will be set up for success to do this through access to our fantastic multi-disciplinary teams, District Nursing teams, the Marie Curie co-ordination centre, Senior Nurses, Marie Curie Nurses and Healthcare Assistants and Volunteers. All of which will enable you to provide a proactive and consistent approach to delivering patient care and support.

For example, one day you might be immersed in various clinical complexities such as patient safety, ongoing support needs, and supporting HCAs through clinical challenges. The next day you may be out meeting various professionals with a passion for end-of-life care and discussing ways of working together to improve community services.
- Being autonomous and feeling trusted by senior members of the South West this makes me want to excel in my endeavours/projects/deadlines.
- Building strong genuine relationships with commissioners and our district nurses that create trust and understanding.
- Representing Somerset and BNSSG at various conferences and providing presentations at them.
- Spending time with colleagues in the Tiverton Hub on learning days and sharing in the challenges and successes each county has to offer. Being amongst the team, which is so welcoming and friendly and always willing to support.
- Working closely with fundraising and retail colleagues to unsure we are working as one big team, and looking to innovate how we best engage our communities.
- Walking the wards of Musgrove Park Hospital meeting volunteers in our companion service and looking at ways of improving what we provide for patients and families.
- Spending time with our local team building rapport, and morale, sharing in learning and being someone they can trust to support them. Moving them forward clinically and setting up systems to support them in their work.
- Developing relationships with other end of life care providers, including local hospices, to ensure good multi-agency working & great end of life care for all
- The immense satisfaction at the end of the day that you are making a massive difference in patients' and families' lives.

What we are looking for:
- A Registered Nurse with Level 1 registration
- Recent experience in palliative care and ideally proven experience in remotely managing a large clinical team.
- Understanding of the specific needs of patients in the End of Life phase, together with a firm understanding of community working.
- Proficient IT Skills.
- A full driving license with access to a vehicle insured for business use and a willingness to travel.
