Job summary

Are you an established administrator looking for a new opportunity? Why not join the dedicated Administration team at Liverpool Hospice.

Main duties of the job

You will provide full secretarial and office admin support, maintaining team diaries, producing correspondence, reports, minutes and other documents. Your ability to establish and maintain efficient office systems and produce accurate management information, as required, is essential. You should therefore be highly organised and flexible, have excellent IT and proven administration skills and be confident dealing with a variety of stakeholders in a professional manner.

Title:Secretary

Salary:£22,383 pro rata per annum (aligned to AFC Band 2)

Hours/Contract:Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type:Permanent

Based:Marie Curie Liverpool Hospice

Closing date:13th November 2023

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent planning, administrative and organisational skills.
  • High level of discretion while dealing with confidential information
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheets, database ability to use Word and Excel
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to achieve accurate and fast returns of work

  • O level or GCSE in English and Maths
  • European Computer Driving Licence
  • Typing speed of 60wpm

Desirable

  • Training in Palliative /healthcare software packages
