Main duties of the job
Being a Nurse at Marie Curie is incredibly rewarding on so many levels. For starters, we offer you high staffing ratios, which means less time on paperwork and more time with patients.As a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group in a palliative care setting, helping people to live their final days with dignity.
Youll be part of a supportive team that truly cares about you and your development. Using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMCs and the Charitys policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers.

Due to increased demand for our services, the Marie Curie Hospice in Penarth is opening a second ward. To meet capacity we are now looking for a number of Band 5 Registered Nurses to make a difference within our Inpatient Unit based at our fantastic facility, overlooking the sea. This is an exciting time for the hospice as we look to further develop our services and support our patients and their loved ones when they need us most.
- Title:Registered Nurse Hospice
- Salary:£28,407 - £34,581 per annum (Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 5)
- Hours: Full time 37.5 hours (Nights / Day shift) but part time may be considered
- Contract: Permanent (Rotational on to days, nights and weekends)
- Location: Marie Curie Hospice, Bridgeman Rd, Penarth, CF64 3YR
