We are currently seeking to recruit an experience and enthusiastic Counsellor Young Person & Child to join the Support Team at Marie Curie Hospice

Job responsibilities

Title:Adult andYoung Peoples Counsellor

Salary:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned withAFC Band 5 £28,407- £34,581 pro rata per annum (depending on experience)

Hours/Contract: Full Time 37.5 Hours per week. Part Time available

Contract Type:Fixed Term until 30th June 2024

Based:Solihull Hospice

Closing date:31st August2023

Interview date: 7th & 8th September2023

Everyone will be affected by dying, death and bereavement and deserves the best possible experience, reflecting whats most important to them. Marie Curie will lead in end of life experience to make this happen.

As a post holder you will need to provide a flexible counselling service to Adults children and young people facing grief and loss and provide support and advice to patients and carers. You will be working alongside the Bereavement Coordinator to Co-ordinate the Hospices Bereavement Service.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree/ Diploma in Counselling
  • Member of BACP or equivalent
  • Significant post-qualification experience
  • Experience in counselling or equivalent
  • Excellent organisational skills

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree/Diploma in Counselling and / or BACP accreditation -
  • Experience in counselling or equivalent.

Desirable

  • qualifications in relation to supporting people of all ages.

  • Experience of working with Loss & grief/ end of life care
