Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic person with strong leadership and innovation skills to work in a team to continue to develop the Bradford REACT service., The key focus of this role will be to support with the opening of the virtual ward to accept referrals from community services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust (BTHFT) and community services as well as the wider Marie Curie multidisciplinary team to support and provide leadership to thecommunity arm of the Marie Curie REACT service.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the virtual ward providing a responsive palliative care service to patients with acute needs with the aim to provide an alternative to hospital/hospice admissions.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Full GMC registration, a licence to practise and at least 4 years full-time postgraduate training with 2 in relevant acute specialities (or demonstration of equivalent experience and competencies)
  • Higher Medical Qualification e.g. MRCP, MRCGP
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to lead a team

REACTis an innovative service developed by Marie Curie Bradford Hospice and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The team will compliment and work collaboratively with existing providers across the locality improving the experience for patients and their families.

  • MB ChB or equivalent
  • Higher Medical Qualification e.g. MRCP, MRCGP

Experience
