Salary:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale,Aligned to AFC Band 5 Up to £17.95 per hour depending on experience (plus enhancements)

You will work alongside a Clinical Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse specialist as well as other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated and co-ordinated service that delivers care and support to people with terminal illnesses in their homes, whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families.

Using evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high quality, you will work collaboratively in the assessment and evaluation of patient care. You will ensure appropriate clinical care is delivered to enable palliative care patients to stay in their own home.

The Marie Curie Nursing Service is deployed in geographical regions which contain a series of smaller teams that are designed to provide a supportive staffing network.

Enhancements for Band 5:

30% x your basic salary per hour paid for Saturdays & weekday night duty (8pm to 6am)

60% x your basic salary per hour paid for Sundays and Public Bank Holidays

What we are looking for:

• RN Registration Level 1
• Experience in NHS or another relevant care setting in palliative care
• Ability to work in a complex and stressful environment and demonstrate appropriate coping mechanisms
• Be a licensed driver with access to a car and a willingness to travel is essential
• Welsh speaking is desirable

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• RN Registration Level 1, with relevant post registration qualification, e.g. ENB 931 or Diploma in Palliative care or equivalent
• Willingness to undertake necessary Diploma level modules and/ or any
• additional education & training as required by the role

Desirable

• Degree in Palliative/cancer care or equivalent

Experience

Essential

• Experience in NHS or other relevant care setting in palliative care
• Experience of working in a palliative care environment e.g. hospice
• Experience of working in the community
