Title: Occupational Therapist Salary: Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND AFC Band 6 35,392-42,618 Hours per week: Full time 37.5 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Based: Marie Curie Hospice, West Midlands Closing date: 10th July 2023 Interview date: TBC Are you looking for a rare and valuable opportunity to expand your experience working as part of an MDT in palliative care? A post has arisen for a dynamic, self-motivated occupational therapist to work for our leading charity, helping to support people living with a wide range of palliative care conditions and those at end of life. This post encourages creativity and collaborative working. There is an emphasis on palliative rehabilitation; combining the best of traditional therapeutic activities and new technologies. Service development skills will be an advantage, as we embrace the post-covid landscape, exploring the risks and benefits of adopting new technologies. An interest or expertise in neurological conditions would be an advantage. Excellent resources are available for training and development. This is a rare and sought-after post that will give the individual an opportunity to experience delivery of occupational therapy outside of the boundaries of the NHS, working with a truly person-centred care approach, both in the community and within the hospice setting. As a hospice we promote equality of access to our services and aim to promote quality of life for people living with a terminal illness and for those supporting them.
