Job summary
We are seeking passionate, motivated and experienced Staff Nurses to join our
Inpatient Unit, providing all forms of care.
The
Mountbatten hospice group provides palliative and end-of-life care to the
communities of the Isle of Wight, Southampton and large parts of Hampshire.
Alongside our Inpatient Unit we also offer specialist bereavement and
support services, including psychological, creative and complementary
therapies, together with a wide range of innovative community services,
including our 24/7 care coordination centre, community nursing and Care at Home
teams.
With over 400 employees and nearly 700 volunteers, Mountbatten exists to
ensure no person who is facing death, dying and bereavement is ever ignored or
left alone.

Main duties of the job
To ensure the highest standards
of individualised care for patients and specialist symptom control,
including the care of their families and those important to them, within a
safe, friendly and efficient environment.
To work under the supervision and guidance of
senior nurses on a daily basis, using opportunities to take charge and
coordinate as development.
