Salary up to £24,000 per annum, 30 hours per week, primarily worked Monday to Friday, with occasional additional support required for Fundraising Events.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of our individual giving fundraising strategy, with a focus on donor recruitment, retention and development to ensure sustainable income growth across the Mountbatten Group.

As a member of the small Individual Giving Team you will help to develop and implement the annual fundraising activity plan, focusing on income generation streams.

You will ideally have a proven experience in marketing and developing fundraising strategies within a charity or healthcare setting, and with demonstrable experience of maximise giving, setting and managing campaigns and annual budgets, and working towards income targets.

Essential

  • High standard of general education (min 5 GCSE and A-levels)

Desirable

  • Relevant accredited fundraising or marketing qualification
  • Customer service/care qualification
  • Relevant office system and software qualifications

  • Able to be proactive and use initiative to resolve problems and create solutions to improve results
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information when reporting on activity, discussing individual transactions/donations with internal and external parties
  • Ability to develop effective and supportive relationships with colleagues

Skills

Essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a fluent writing style and the ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of media and to varied audiences
  • Significant influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Microsoft Office packages, including Excel with basic formulas

Experience

  • Experience of marketing techniques, including digital and direct mail
  • Preparing programmes of activity and business plans to recruit, engage, inspire and retain donors or customers
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects to ensure deadlines are meet and work completed to the highest quality standards
  • Recent experience of using a CRM database in customer service environment
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with customer queries through multiple communication methods including, but not limited to: Telephone, Written and Face to Face
