Job summary
St Teresas Hospice, Darlington is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our
Inpatient Unit team.

We
have a vacancy for 18.75 hours, 3 x 12.5 hour day and night shifts over a two weekly rota. Day
shifts are 07:30-20:00 and nights shifts 19:30-08:00.
St
Teresas Hospice Band 5, Full time equivalent £30,310.00 to £36,483.00 per
annum, Actual £15,155.00 to £18,241.50, plus enhanced rates for unsociable
hours.

Main duties of the job
We are a forward
thinking, inclusive registered Charity with Inpatient, Outpatient and Hospice
at Home services, providing care and support to palliative patients and their
families in their own homes and at St Teresas Hospice.
In this post, you
will provide high quality holistic nursing care to palliative patients within
the Inpatient Unit and create appropriate plans of care to enable and recognize
individual wishes and preferences. You will develop and demonstrate a sound knowledge
of palliative care and contribute to the future development of this nurse-led
unit through further expansion of specialist knowledge and skills as required.
Essential
qualifications and skills include:
- First
level Registered Nurse (General/Adult Nursing) with current NMC registration
- Understanding
of the Hospice setting and ethos
- Professional
experience in the field of palliative care would be an advantage
