Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced nurse to join our dedicated night rapid response team. This role will include both face to face visits and telephone of calls for Compton patients as well as the opportunity to support a new initiative working with our local hospices to provide an equitable adviceline service.

Main duties of the job

Essential Criteria Registered General nurse or registered paramedic with post registration experience Health Care Degree or willing to work towards Non-medical prescribing qualification (V300) or willing to work towards Advanced communication course or willing to work towards The ability to work alone and within a team Excellent communication skills As real passion/commitment to proving high quality palliative/end of life care A drive to use Quality Improvement models to improve the patient care and experience and to place the patient at the heart of all actions. The ability to share learning with colleagues The ability to manage and mitigate risk

About us

Alongside Katherine House Hospice, Douglas Macmillan and St Giles Hospice we collectively deliver an out of hours telephone support to patients, families and healthcare professionals requiring specialist palliative telephone advice across the whole of the Staffordshire County, regardless of which specific hospice or region the patient is known to.
