Staff Nurse

Job summary

Compton Care are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join our Inpatient Unit. The unit provides a clinical, hands-on care, and supports the patient holistically during their stay. The service aims to complement and enhance the care available to patients with a rapidly deteriorating life advancing, chronic, incurable illness or those with complex symptom management that is affecting their living well. You will be there to offer specialist knowledge, expertise and support to the patient and carer as well as other health and social care professionals. To provide integrated, holistic, equitable and effective palliative care to patients and families that maximises the quality of life for all patients and provide appropriate support to those closest to them.

Main duties of the job

Essential Criteria Registered Nurse (RMN, Adult, RNLD) with an up-to-date PIN number registered with the NMC Health Care Degree or willing to work towards A recognised communication course or willing to work towards The ability to work alone and within a team Excellent communication skills ENB 998 or equivalent As real passion and commitment to proving high quality palliative and end of life care An understanding of how quality improvement can be used to improve patient care and experience An ability to place the patient at the heart of all actions. The ability to receive and share learning with colleagues The ability to recognise and report risk.
