About us

Leckhampton Court Hospice is the only specialist palliative care unit in Gloucestershire, delivering expert care across inpatient and community settings. Our Hospice at Home team brings the skills, compassion and ethos of hospice care directly to patients and familiessupporting them to live well, and die well, at home.

Main duties of the job

Were looking for a passionate and experienced nurse to join our Hospice at Home service.

You will -

Deliver and lead high quality palliative and end-of-life care in patients homes

Support people to remain where they feel most comfortable at home

Work across Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury

Assess, plan and deliver person-centred, evidence based care

This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy, compassion and clinical excellence.

  • Registered General Nurse with active registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Post-registration experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience of working independently in community or clinical environments
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise in a dynamic environment
  • Basic IT skills and ability to maintain accurate clinical records
  • Willingness to travel across the community (driving licence/access to transport required)

Desirable
