About the RoleIn palliative care no day is the same. Working on our inpatient unit provides a unique opportunity because we care for patients with such a variety of conditions and symptoms. If youd like to develop your knowledge of many different conditions and the impact this has on patients and their families a role in palliative care with Sue Ryder is for you.Our nurses play an indispensable role in providing compassionate, holistic care for patients with life-limiting illnesses. Their work extends far beyond medical tasks, encompassing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support for both patients and their families.Our registered nurses work on a rotational shift pattern, including early shifts, late shifts, long days, nights, and weekends. As this role supports a 24/7 service, we are seeking candidates with flexibility to work a range of shifts as required.The successful applicants will play an active role within our multidisciplinary team. You will work alongside Specialty Doctors, therapy staff, volunteers and other vital members of the MDT taking a holistic approach in providing the best possible outcomes for each patient.Duties include but are not limited to:Providing support, leadership, recognition and supervision to junior members of staffAssess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised clinical care for service usersUsing evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high-quality careEnsuring that the team provide all care in line with the care plan.
