We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a valid UK NMC registration to join our team, supporting colleagues to develop skills in palliative and end of life care.

Job responsibilities

  • Responsible to support the development of learners on various educational & training programmes to achieve and maintain an excellent standard of clinical practice in accordance with national and professional standards
  • Having a key role in assessing training needs, planning, delivering and evaluating education and training programmes
  • Responsible for the identifying, planning, delivery and evaluation of education and training programmes for the services Clinical Healthcare Workforce
  • To ensure all education and training is quality assured, accurately monitored and recorded in accordance with policy
  • Responsible for collating the services annual training needs analysis based on the outcome of annual appraisal reviews identified training requirements
  • Provide a range of educational approaches and learning events, including; face to face- classroom, virtual, clinical and competency assessment, e-learning and blended learning
  • To ensure clinical induction and orientation programmes are delivered and evaluated as per the corporate clinical induction procedures and/or processes
  • To work in a supernumerary role to support and develop new and existing registered, unregistered healthcare staff and volunteers
  • To support the Senior Leadership Team to deliver the Quality Improvement Plan by using Datix incident analysis to continuously improve the reporting process and deliver appropriate education and training to prevent recurrence where appropriate
  • To participate in the development of policies and guidelines within the service

To support the delivery of any research being carried out in the centre and across the organisation to promote evidence-based practice and quality service delivery

Experience

Essential

  • You will be a registered Nurse with a UK NMC pin, educated to degree level (or working towards) who is able to evidence Practice Supervisor or Practice assessor training in an acute or community environment. You will be an enthusiastic practitioner who will be able work both independently and collaboratively to implement and innovate practice.
  • You will also be able to demonstrate ongoing evidence of continued professional development.
  • Working knowledge of training needs analysis, planning and facilitation of adult based learning, mandatory and priority training requirements is required for this post.
  • You will use different learning styles and application in delivering education and training and have a sound working knowledge for the clinical assessment of registered and non-registered staff is also needed for this post.
