Role Requirements
The post holder will be expected to initiate and contribute to quality improvement, research, service development and audit activities. They will provide support and clinical supervision to speech and language therapists across site, at The Childrens Trust School and within Rehabilitation Services. You will manage a small caseload of complex children and young people within the Rehabilitation Services and hold clinical specialism in advanced dysphagia skills and tracheostomy care for children and young people with acquired brain injuries and complex neurodisability. You will support a multi-disciplinary team approach to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, respiratory management, training, and education.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Job responsibilities
Leadership in the provision of innovative, high quality, evidence based and equitable therapeutic interventions, with specialisms across dysphagia and tracheostomy care.

Development and implementation of individualised recommendations and plans that can be embedded within the childs daily routine, whether to be carried out by parents or members of the MDT; these should be monitored, evaluated, and adjusted appropriately in a timely manner according to the needs of the child.
Lead and support evidence-based practice with the site wide speech and language therapy team, offering regular clinical supervision and support.
Lead quality improvement projects across the MDT, utilising QI methodology and tools, sharing learning and recommendations internally and externally to improve clinical practice.
