Join Us as a Speech & Language Therapist Team Lead

Location: Liverpool & surrounding area | Hours: 37.5 hrs/week over 41 weeks (term time) | Salary: £48,022 FTE (pro-rated to term time) | Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced Speech & Language Therapist ready to take the next step in your career? Together Trust is looking for a motivated and skilled Team Lead to deliver high-quality therapy services primarily within SEN school settings.

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary Clinical Service team, you will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, and more, providing expert therapy, consultancy, training, and support to children, families, and staff.

What youll do:

  • Manage a complex caseload of students, including those with specialist needs.

  • Provide evidence-based assessments, interventions, and therapy programs.

  • Offer guidance, training, and support to school staff, families, and carers.

  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and professional team culture.

  • Lead a clinical area of specialism, e.g., AAC, Autism, SEMH, or Dysfluency, contributing to service development and policy.

  • Ensure services meet professional, legal, and safeguarding standards.

What were looking for:

  • Degree in Speech & Language Therapy and current HCPC registration.

  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.

  • Significant post-qualification experience, ideally with young people with complex needs and Autism.

  • Experience in service development, training delivery, and clinical supervision.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of education provision, EHCP processes, and outcome measurement tools.
