Burnley West Primary Care Network is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Newly Qualified General Practitioner to join our vibrant and innovative primary care team.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- The General Medical Practitioners has not been substantively employed as a General Medical Practitioner in general practice previously.
- The General Medical Practitioner has not been employed in a temporary capacity i.e. as a locum.
- The General Medical Practitioner is not beyond the second anniversary of their certificate of completion of training, issued by the General Medical Council, at the start of their employment or engagement.
The successful candidate will be working across five practices within the PCN.
- Fixed term until the end of 2025, with the view to extending dependent on the extension of ARRS funding for 25/26

- £73,113.00 per annum, pro rata, based on 9 sessions
Main duties of the job
- The Post holder will undertake a variety of duties, which will include patient consultations in the surgery, via the telephone & home visits.
- Working autonomously & within your scope of knowledge & experience to ensure professional decision making, in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care professionals.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early
signs of illness.
- Developing care plans for health in consultations with
patients and in line with current PCN and practice disease management
protocols.
- Referring patients to other care
providers as appropriate.
- Recording clear and
contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Prescribing in accordance with the PCN and practice
prescribing formulary or generically whenever this is clinically appropriate.
