Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 FTE DOE (Pro Rata) plus £1 per hour location allowance
Hours: 30 hours a week Flexible working hours available.
The Service:
Kerwin Court delivers specialist neuro rehabilitation to adults with an acquired brain injury in a residential setting just outside of Broadbridge Heath. You will be working with a team of rehabilitation support workers alongside a multi-disciplinary team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and speech and language therapists.
Brainkind is looking for a Senior Specialist Physiotherapist who wants to develop their experience by working in our highly regarded service at Kerwin Court; providing strategic, professional leadership to the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team.
Main duties of the job
To work as a specialist within the multi/interdisciplinary team providing physiotherapy input within the BIRT neurobehavioural model to people we support with acquired brain injury, across the three Brainkind pathways: Neurobehavioural, Neurorestorative, and Well-being. To lead and develop specialist physiotherapy provision within the service. To liaise with internal and external professionals, relevant organisations, family members and people we support. To act as a positive professional role model, and to pro-actively support the clinical leadership team to achieve Brainkind Objectives.

- Full Driving licence and willingness to drive people we support in unit vehicles.
- Ability/willingness to travel and stay overnight to meet the operation need.
- Ability to work flexible hours within reason to meet the needs of people we support.
Qualifications

- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Registered with the HCPC.
- Practice Placement qualification or willingness to undertake this qualification within the first year.
Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience of working with people we support with neurological deficits, including acquired brain injury.
- Experience of performing complex physiotherapy assessments and interventions in ABI rehabilitation.
- Knowledge and application of physiotherapy principles in neurorehabilitation.
- Specialist knowledge of principles in neurophysiotherapy.
- Minimum of 4 years post registration with at least 2 years in neurological rehabilitation or in a related field such as learning disabilities, MSK, mental health.
