Job summary

As part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership in B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW), Second Step works alongside organisations like Alabar, Missing Link, and Nilaari to deliver trauma-informed, culturally inclusive, and integrated mental health support. Our Recovery Navigators work closely with clients, GPs, VCSE organisations, and NHS providers to deliver community-based support that fosters resilience, social connection, and wellbeing. This role is central to managing and developing a team that puts people at the heart of recovery.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Recovery Navigator, youll manage a team of Recovery Navigators and hold a small caseload of clients with moderate to severe mental health needs. Youll oversee referrals, provide leadership, and coordinate collaborative care across a multi-agency network.

  • A minimum of two years recent experience of working with people
  • with mental health needs including needs assessments and the
  • support planning process.
  • Experience of working with people with multiple needs e.g.
  • mental health, learning difficulty, personality disorder.
  • Experience of providing practical and emotional support to enable
  • the client to take up the responsibilities of their own recovery.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience of leading a team including providing regular supervisions, completing annual appraisals and creating
  • performance development plans.

Desirable

  • Proven experience of mental health issues and/or services, either as a user, carer, supporter, volunteer or worker.
