Job summary

Second Step provides a variety of accommodation-based services as part of the Bristol City Council commissioned Homelessness Pathways, as well as multiple other housing related services. Currently accommodation-based services are located in Bristol, however, Second Step has services throughout the South West. Second Step is a leading provider of mental health and accommodation services. Main duties of the job

The aim of the Team Manager is to ensure that our supported housing service runs effectively and to a high standard on a day-to-day basis, meeting targets as agreed with Local Authority Commissioners, Service Manager and the Senior Operations Manager.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years proven experience supervising effective teams, ideally in a supported housing environment
  • 3 years significant experience working with people with mental health needs
  • Experience of addressing under performance on an individual and service level
  • Experience of managing commissioned services and operating within such a framework
  • Experience of using a CRM system

Desirable

  • Lived experience of mental health services, either directly or as a carer
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing
  • Experience of using Inform
