Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate individual to join our forward-thinking organisation to support the implementation of the strategic goals set out in Second Steps Addressing Racism Strategy. This post holder will work closely with the Addressing Racism project sponsors and lead on the creation of the annual work plan to deliver the Addressing Racism strategy. As we build on 34 years experience, this is an exciting time to join us and make a lasting difference to the individuals and communities we work with.

Main duties of the job

As an experienced strategic project manager, the post holder will work collaboratively with the Addressing Racism groups, furthering their development and supporting them to achieve their agreed aims. Working closely with other key staff and groups involved in this work, you will play a key role to stamp out racism at Second Step and help us become a fully inclusive, equitable and an anti-racist organisation.

  • Previous experience in an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) role
  • Track record of implementing impactful EDI projects and initiatives
  • Previous experience of supporting equality networks
  • Experience of working in an environment where confidentiality is key.
  • Working Knowledge of Project Management
  • Knowledge and performance management and setting KPIs

Desirable

  • Previous experience in an EDI role within a complex organisation or partnership
  • Experience of working in a mental health
  • Experience of Service User Involvement
  • Managing Budgets
