Job summary

We are looking to expand our team of casual bank workers to help support our mental health and homelessness services by picking up ad hoc shifts. This role will particularly suit applicants who are looking for flexibility, enjoy variety of work and are interested in working varying shift patterns.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across different mental health and homelessness services within Second Step. You will be able to accept bank shifts with us on an ad hoc basis Working as part of a team to support individuals in their journey from acute psychiatric ward into the community Help to ensure the Health & Safety of our properties for example assessing and recording information on our alarms, fire exits and water temperature.

  • Have experience supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties. This could include voluntary work.
  • Have compassion, empathy and passion for supporting others.
  • Be a good communicator.
  • Be IT literate and able to record and report information.
  • Be good at building trust with people you work with.
  • Be willing to learn and develop skills.
  • Have confidence working on your own or as part of a team.
