London Central and West (LCW) was founded in 1994 as a local GP cooperative and has evolved into a large and successful provider of Integrated Urgent Care services covering a resident population of over 4.6 million. Our portfolio of services include Clinical Assessment Services to patients of North Central and North West London, Urgent treatment centres at Charing Cross, Hammersmith, West Middlesex and St Mary's hospital and a GP practice at Hammersmith and Fulham Centres for Health.

We are seeking a values led, clinically trained professional which could include a paramedic, pharmacist, doctor or nurse to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director.
The role requires attendance at board meetings, committee meetings and annual general meetings. This is not an employed position but is a fixed-term engagement for 3 years. The remuneration is £13,000 per annum plus additional payment for agreed committee roles.

Main duties of the job
The role of the Non-Executive Director will be to ensure the Board fulfils its responsibilities and role and acts in accordance with its Constitution.
In addition, they will support the CEO to deliver LCW's Strategy and Annual Integrated Business Plan and optimise the relationship between the Board and staff and with the CEO to promote the organisation, protecting its brand, and representing the organisation effectively to external stakeholders.

- Attend the meetings of the Board and general meetings of members
- Attend the Remuneration and Nominations Committees (as appropriate)
- Attend the UHUK annual conference, as personal commitments permit
- Contribute to the Companys Strategy and Annual Integrated Business Plan and monitors their achievement
- Ensure that the Financial Statements of the Society have been subjected to a full professional audit and are publicly available
- Monitor decisions taken at meetings are implemented and in a timely manner
- Support the Chief Executive in relation to external work with partner organisations
- Support the Chief Executive in delivering the Strategy and Annual Integrated Business Plan
- Support the MD of LCW and to provide advice and guidance to LCW across its Clinical Governance structures
- Support the Chief Executive to identify and manage reputational risk
- Represent the organisation to external audiences and stakeholders
- Develop an effective stakeholder and communication strategy that promotes the brand of the organisation
- Network effectively on behalf of the organisation, promoting the organisation to a wider audience and in particular to key decision makers with which LCW engages
