Job summary
We are
particularly interested in experienced and accredited mental health
practitioners who have experience of leading and managing teams within a mental
health service, in a charity or national health service.
This fulltime
role may be suited to professionals seeking to work in the charity sector, with
its dynamic, creative and caring environment. This role may also be of interest to experienced mental
health practitioners with a core training in social worker, youth work, occupational
therapy and nursing. The post offers flexible working arrangements in line with
business needs. The service operates 8-6, Monday to Friday with occasional
Saturday working.
The ideal candidate must have a:

Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will be responsible for oversight ofBromley YsMHEWS referrals front door, waiting list and allocations management, supporting practitioner standards through tracking and developing training based on need, the co-ordination of case auditing in MHEWS.

Job responsibilities
To
contribute to the development of early intervention and prevention service in
Bromley for children and young people. The post represents an opportunity for a
qualified and experienced practitioner,
with management experience, who is committed to the principles of CYP IAPT and THRIVE, to
further their career. The post holder will be responsible for oversight of Bromley Ys Mental
Health and Emotional Wellbeing Service (MHEWS) referrals front door, waiting
list and allocations management, supporting practitioner standards through
tracking and developing training based on need, the co-ordination of case auditing
in MHEWS. This work which involves management
of risk with colleagues and will involve responsibility for particular client
groups. The purpose of the role is to reduce waiting times for young people, ensure
the MHEWS workforce is able to respond to changes in demand and changes in need
delivering effective interventions, ensure that Bromley Ys standards
of practice and case work and recording are met and maintained.
The post
holder will work closely with the MHEWS Lead and Bromley
Y Clinical Director to develop the process of managing referrals into the service, contributing to service development in order to reduce wait times,
they will deputise for the MHEWS Lead at network and partnership meetings.
The
post-holder will then ensure contact by staff is maintained with the individual
whilst they receive the agreed intervention provided by Bromley Y. The
post-holder will work with schools, organisations and other charities and staff
to ensure that young people from diverse backgrounds receive a service and
should be committed to diversity and ensuring access to services for all. Some
of the work will be carried out digitally from home with the opportunity to see
some children and young people at Ethelbert Road. The majority of the work will
be in the community supporting Bromley children in gaining access to
appropriate activities, resources and interventions.
The post
holder must be prepared to be flexible in their working arrangements to ensure
that and all children and young people can access support at a time which suits
their needs. This may entail some evening sessions and Saturday working. In addition to overseeing the assessment and management of risk
the post-holder will support and supervise qualified and trainee staff. They
will have line management responsibility and a role in developing the service. They
will have a service responsibility for safeguarding and risk assessment, a key
area of the service due to the work being delivered in the community.
Post-holders
who hold a professional qualification will be allocated half a day per week to
undertake work to maintain their qualification requirements.
MAIN
DUTIES INCLUDING LINE MANAGEMENT

management including but not limited to coaching and developing staff, managing
minor issues of conduct and performance, carrying out yearly Performance
Development Reviews (PDRs)
