Job summary
This is an opportunity for a skilled practitioner who has experience of triage, risk screening and working with children & young people presenting with emotional and mental health difficulties. They will be part of a newly forming iSPA team, as it develops in its early stages through to a live launch in 2024. Alongside this they will work an agreed number of days within Bromley Ys Getting Advice team, offering support & guidance, being part of team projects and offering 1-1 intervention to CYP and Families. The successful post-holder will work with young people from diverse backgrounds and should be committed to diversity and ensuring access to services for all.
Much of the work will be carried out from home with the opportunity to see some children and young people at Ethelbert Road or in different community settings. The post holder must be prepared to be flexible in their working arrangements to ensure that all children and young people can access support at a time which suits their needs. Flexibility with working hours is a must as our service operates 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and some Saturday working may be required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an integral part of the Bromley Single Point of Access (iSPA), delivered in partnership with Bromley CAMHS. The integrated SPA will manage all referrals for children and young people with mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties in Bromley. You will work within the team to provide efficient and effective delivery of the iSPA Service. In addition, you will be part of the Getting Advice Team in Bromley Y.
You will contribute to the development of early intervention and prevention service in Bromley for Children and Young People. The post represents an opportunity for a qualified practitioner, who is committed to the principles of CYP IAPT and THRIVE, to further their career. The post holder will provide support to children and young people to undertake contact and assessment calls to help identify their needs and develop an agreed plan, presenting these to a multi-agency meeting. The post-holder will work with young people from diverse backgrounds and should be committed to diversity and ensuring access to services for all. As part of the iSPA you will also be expected to join their team days. The post holder must be prepared to be flexible in their working arrangements to ensure that all children and young people can access support at a time which suits their needs.
