Main duties of the job

Being a Bank Occupational Therapist at St Wilfrid's

As a Bank Occupational Therapist, you will be facilitating high quality, individualised care for patients with complex palliative care needs.

Championing rehabilitative palliative care, you'll be working across the Hospice as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be aiming to achieve the best possible level of function and quality of life for patients, irrespective of diagnosis or disease trajectory. This will include working with our In Patient Unit, Community Team and Living Well Services.

Using your excellent problem solving and clinical reasoning skills, you will be providing specialist knowledge and assessment, underpinned by evidence-based practice.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a good level knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation, chronic disease management, and palliative/end of life care.

This role requires a full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for own use.

We are an independent local charity based in Bosham, Chichester offering a wide range of services to support our patients, and their loved ones, who are living with a life limiting or terminal illness. The work we do makes a real difference to local lives and we support over 330 patients between our In Patient Unit and Community teams.
