Mental Health Advisors - Gosforth
37.5 hours per week
24 hour service working days/nights and weekends, enhancements paid for unsocial hours.
Salary: £23,464.00 - £27,219.91 pro-rata plus enhancements.
Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Advisor, you will provide initial telephone support to North Yorkshire, York and Selby residents experiencing mental health distress and crisis as part of the national implementation of NHS 111 Mental Health (Option 2).
About you:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following experience:
- Demonstrable experience of working 1:1 with service users with complex needs
- Demonstrable experience working within Health, social care or VCSE systems
- Awareness of Health and Social care systems.
- Awareness of national and local organisations and other resources that can support individuals to improve and maintain good mental health.
- Awareness of recovery in the context of mental health
- Awareness of the effects of stigma and discrimination
- Awareness of issues surrounding homelessness, financial inclusion or substance misuse
