Main duties of the job
The HTCM Paramedics responsibilities include attending patients who are
suffering time-critical injury and illness and delivering enhanced and critical
care to our patients. They will ensure all medical equipment and the Critical
Care Cars are maintained in a state of operational readiness, and support the
helicopter pilot with safety and performance functions, particularly during
take-off, approach and landing. When attending incident locations, they will be
specialists in managing scene logistics, patient movement and departure
arrangements.
The ideal candidate
will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to
contextualise highly complex and highly sensitive information. They will plan
and deliver effective incident/scene management and then participate in
reflection and learning within the team environment to ensure our clinical team
are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led in their practice.
The HTCM Paramedic
will have at least 2 years' full time post professional registration experience
and be able to demonstrate successfully completing Level 7 academic education
relevant to clinical care, along with evidence of continual CPD relating to
pre-hospital care. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence with a C1
entitlement and a maximum of 3 penalty points, alongside a level 3 certificate
in Emergency Driving Response (CERAD) or accredited NHS blue light driving
qualification.
